You may have heard the claims of speed reading software that can increase your reading speed up to the 1000 words per minute level. I'm not sure about that. In fact, I'm not sure about the whole skimming through quickly and understanding what the hell you read either. The idea of being a lightning fast reader may not exist,(at least for most people) but the whole concept about reading faster does. If you want to increase your speed significantly, while being able to retain what you read, then these courses will deliver. After testing out dozens of different programs, here's what we found... The Results: The results were amazing! and one thing remained consistent...Everyone improved! Everyone increased their words per minute reading times substantially - with an average of 45% improvement, while still having good retention. Our top program was reviewed by both week and strong readers and the results were the same. Everyone did better! With this program every member in our office improved their reading times by as much as 240 wpm the first time they used it. (This program is meant to be used daily, with the first session lasting under 30 minutes and 16 minute sessions there after.) Here's what it did for me... So the first thing I did was figure out how fast I already was. There are free tests on the internet to find this out. The test I happened to take labeled me as an insuficient reader while reading 147 wpm and scoring a 45% on the reading comprehension. I then went through the course which was less than half an hour all together. It started off by giving me a new concept to understand, then went into some simple exercises to follow and that was it. I then re-tested to see where I stood. Like the others, I too improved my reading speed. I was astonished! I now read at 230 wpm and scored an 82% on the reading comprehension. That's 83 words faster. And what's the reason for scoring higher on the retention? Here's where it gets interesting and the reason why I wanted to share my results. When I sped up my reading while implementing a simple concept; it allowed my head to see and interpret what was going on visually better than before.(this was an amazing moment by the way!) Therefore I was able to understand what I was reading better. For the first time I saw what I was reading like a movie! That's right -- Holy Crap! Not only am I faster than before, but I now have better retention! Who knew?So in no way would I consider myself a speed reader after having completing this program. I'm still very slow by normal standards, but it definitely improved my speed from before and gave me a whole new outlook on reading! I would have to say that even though these programs may offer more than they can deliver, one thing holds true...If you want to increase your reading speed, this is the way to do it! Update: I've been doing the exercises (which take 16 minutes) just a couple times a week for a few months now and I am now reading almost 300 words per minute! That's almost twice the speed of where I had started...It's freaken amazing how something so simple can increase your skills!
